Sunnyslope remains a depressed community with little to no economic development
(LESS John C Lincoln Hospital, a job source + great community asset. The neighborhood WalMart has helped too.)
Improved BUS service(including elderly assisted vehicles) via Cave Creek Road + surrounding areas would help future growth.
Residential construction (apartmts or otherwise) is needed with increased bus service for working commuters + a rapid
aging of the local population, as well as those moving here from colder climates.
NO ONE needs a light rail + tracks to Paradise Valley Mall. Malls are becoming a thing of the past, unless incorporated with
business, educational facilities, medical facilities, etc. etc. PV Mall area is more a bedroom community than an area that
provides a significant amount of higher paying jobs.
The hard working people of South + West Phoenix do deserve to get LIGHT RAIL, not SUV’s heading to PV MALL.
Light rail growth should always be directed to work + educational + medical centers.
